Editors’ letter

Dear Readers,

Such a lot has happened over the last few

weeks. We have a new Labour

government and Sir Keir Starmer is now

Prime Minister. Just this weekend Donald

Trump survived an assassination attempt

and unfortunately England lost in the

Euro Fnal and football didn’t come home.

Phew! Here in Burwell thankfully things a

lot less frantic.

If you are a parent of children at Burwell

Village College then why not consider

becoming a school governor. A really

satisfying volunteer role. For full details

see page 7.

There are some local events to watch out

for. On Sunday 25th August 2024 there is

a Classic Car Show at the Museum.

At Burwell House there is a Cambridge

Touring Productions performance of

Angelica Sprocket’s Pockets on Friday

30th August.
